Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be welcomed by your naturalist guide from Classic Sri Lanka, and be transferred to your hotel in Negombo (20 min drive).
Spend the remainder of the day at leisure relaxing by the beach, recovering from the long flight.
Early morning, go dolphin watching off Kalpitiya. Witness large pods of acrobatic spinner dolphins, sometimes seen in groups exceeding thousand animals. Their acrobatic aerial displays are sure the amaze and put a smile on anyone’s face.
Afterwards, return to the hotel for breakfast. You also have the option to go snorkeling at Bar Reef Sanctuary.
Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Early morning, take part in one more dolphin watching excursion off Kalpitiya.
After breakfast, leave for the Southern town of Ahangama where you will check into your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Spend 03 nights in Ahangama.
Early morning, go on a whale and dolphin watching tour off Mirissa.
Mirissa is the world’s best location to see the largest animal to ever live the gigantic Blue Whale which are resident in Sri Lankan waters.
Afternoon take part in a crocodile and bird watching tour along the Nilwala River in Matara.
Early morning, take part in another whale and dolphin watching tour off Mirissa. On rare occasions, one might have the privilege of witnessing a true ocean hunter in the Killer Whale or Orca known as “The Wolves of the Sea”.
Afternoon at leisure by the beach.
Take part in one more whale and dolphin watching tour.
Occasionally large groups of migrating Sperm Whales can be seen off these waters.
Afterwards, leave for Colombo (2 ½ hour drive). Afternoon at leisure. You have the option of going on a guided tour of the city of Colombo.
Spend 01 night in Colombo.
Departure transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport (1 hour drive)
