Upon landing in Sri Lanka at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative of Classic Sri Lanka and transferred to Chilaw (1 ½ hour drive).
Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
In the morning, head towards Wilpattu National Park (2-3 hour drive), the largest National Park in Sri Lanka.
Experience an afternoon safari in the Wilpattu. Focus on finding the leopard, the apex predator of the Sri Lankan wilderness. Also be on the lookout for the shaggy coated Sloth bear.
Spend 03 nights in Wilpattu.
Full day safari at Wilpattu with packed meals and bottle water in search of Leopards and other wildlife. Explore the stunning and pristine wilderness areas of the park. From the dense woodlands to sand rimmed Villu’s (natural lakes). The park is abundant in wildlife from Spotted Deer to many bird species.
This morning, you have the option of going on one last morning safari at Wilpattu National Park.
Late morning, leave for Ahangama in the South of the island (5 ½ hour drive).
Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure at the beach.
After breakfast, leave for Yala National Park.
Take part in an afternoon safari at Yala National Park. One of the key signs of a leopard nearby is the alarm calls of the Spotted Deer and Grey Langur monkeys. Your naturalist guide will also track these elusive felines based on pugmarks on the road.
Spend 03 nights in Yala.
Early morning and late afternoon safaris at Yala National Park.
Finding a leopard is all about patience and anticipation. Your naturalist guide and safari driver will have a good knowledge of sightings, and how and where these elusive cats might be.
Take part in one final safari at Yala National Park.
Thereafter leave towards Negombo (5 ½ hr drive) and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Departure transfer to the Bandaranaike International Airport (30 min drive)
