A traditional favorite in the highlands is freshly made rotti with piping hot Kochchi chilli sambal, enjoy a taste of this spicy treat along with freshly made Polos or Jackfruit Cutlets on a roadside boutique which is best savored with a cup of plain tea. Afterwards spend the remainder of the day at leisure exploring the markets of Nuwara Eliya, with special attention to the many vegetables grown in this region.

Visit the fish market early morning, and see the fisherman bringing the freshest catch to the market. Select choice lagoon crab and prawns and head to a locals home. Go to the kitchen and try your hand in making the famous Sri Lankan Crab Curry which will be served for Lunch. In the eavening make a dish of famous Lagoon prawns to be enjoyed with a chilled beer overlooking the Negombo Lagoon.

Checkout head towards Habarana. In the afternoon be invited to a traditional Sri Lankan village home for lunch. Get to know the daily life of a Sri Lankan village family. Walk around their chena cultivation, experience the daily life of a farmer who lives bordering the jungle. Climb their watch hut and savor a sip of black tea. Pick fresh vegetables for lunch. Head to the kitchen and help prepare a simple yet delicious village lunch.

Early morning, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Visit the palace ruins of King Kassapa which was constructed on top of a massive 200 meter high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, frescoes of kings' dancers and other structures.  In the afternoon you will learn to make the various traditional sweet meats of Sri Lanka, from the oil cakes known as Kavum to the crunchy Kokis and much more. In the evening, savor the now world famous Hopper, and try ones hand at making this delicate pancake along with an assortment of curries including Pol Sambal, Lunu Miris and Ambul Thiyal Fish Curry.

Checkout from the hotel and drive towards Kandy. En-route visit the Matale Heritage for a lunch once reserved only for Kandyan Royalty. This is a traditional Kandyan meal with produce unique to this area.  Remainder of the evening at leisure.

Early morning visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Afternoon head towards the hill country with a guided tour of a tea estate and tea factory en-route.  In the evening enjoy a preparation of a traditional Pork Black Curry which is well loved in the many estate bungalows and is relished by all Sri Lankan's alike.

Head down towards Hambantota which is in the South Corner of the island. Visit a saltern and explore how the most important seasoning in any dish around the world is made here. In the evening , we prepare an evening snack called the Thalape which is native to this region. Its made out of Kurakkan (Eleusine coracana) and goes best with a fresh cup of tea often served in a coconut shell. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Early morning you have the option of taking a safari at the Yala National Park. Then visit a buffalo farm and try ones hand at making traditional Sri Lankan Buffalo Curd. Later in the afternoon, you will head towards Galle. Visit the Galle Dutch Fort where you will enjoy a traditional Dutch Lamprai Dinner. Evening spent at leisure.

In the morning you will visit a Cinnamon Plantation and Factory. This much valued spice is unique to Sri Lanka and is a key culinary ingredient in Sri Lankan cuisine. Enjoy a traditional southern lunch with seafood and preperations unique to the region. Evening you will enjoy a seafood barbecue by the beach.

Early morning follow a toddy tapper who will do daring feats between coconut trees to extract the sap which is a mild alcoholic beverage best enjoyed with manioc or tapioca. We start our drive towards the capital - Colombo. On our way we stop for lunch and to prepare the "Hathmaluwa" - a dish which is nearly 2000 years old. We arrive in Colombo and spend the remainder at leisure.
